Illustration Friday: Bloom

I enjoyed drawing this, though I might have taken on rather too many flowers! Maybe next time I'll limit myself to 10 minutes, and do a lightning sketch for once. When these concepts Spring to mind though, it seems a shame not to try and realise them...illusTrailI did stop at the old gardener character who was going to be pushing down the plunger! The funniest thing is, that I find wheelbarrows a really groovy thing to do.
Go to the Illustration Friday site for more folks' Blooms.

Ello!
I saw your comment on Eucharisto, and visited your blog.I love you work, I wish I knew how to put mine on my blog!Your experiences in art sound great!(Plus you used the word 'groovy' which I thought no one else did but me!)
I hope that during college I can visit England, it has always been a dream of mine.Although you probably are used to it by now!
Cheerio!

Thanks Kerry,
and Hello to you Queen of Arts.

If you've got pictures to blog, you'll need a scanner first of all. Don't know if it'd work with a digital camera, but I haven't got one of them. Then look on the home page of blogger.com and you'll see a free download for Picasa, which is the software you need to put pictures on your blog.

What is it about England that interests you? I've lived in the South of England all my life, but there's always plenty of places I haven't been to.

Hello Nic - nice to see you on Elbowroom!

Ian, you always want that little bit more - and if I added a dahlia, you'd be after a foxglove! Actually - which one IS a dahlia, I've no idea!!

i love this! I think you were right to do that amount of flowers, and feel you may have found your forte there! You should go into fabric or stationery design, lad. Glad you didn't put the man in pushing the plunger. Less is more. Ambiguity is good. please draw more flowers in future! PS There are no dahlias there - in fact, I'd like to see your rendition of a dahlia cos they're hard to draw I bet, but a deffo jonnynorms shape...if you know what i mean. to conclude: bravo!
