That happens to me too. I decided not to san this year, just iPhone photos, it makes things a little quicker. The quality isn't always great, but I think it gets the idea across.
I love my scanner, it's done great service for now 9 years of Elbowroom hard doodle graft - I only go camera if it gets too sculptural.
