it has a great sense of surreality does this. ships passing but not in the night - in broad daylight.
Thankyou all! The colouring is using judicious placement of doodles used as digital brushes - so this is sort of a medley of drawings.
Sometimes I see a speck of "Edward Gorey" in your art.

Thankyou Joy...Edward Gorey is truly awesome isn't he. I came across him relatively recently - I would dig back further to Edward Lear & Lewis Carroll/Tenniel in that vein as well. Oh, and that's just the tip of the illustration/writer iceberg! I love Heath Robinson, and Tove Jansson (Moomins) too, off the top of my head. And Hugh Lofting (Dr Dolittle)
Oh, there are too many to name! Some you've named I haven't heard...but I've writen them down and will look them up!
