Delve into my mind

This is all about my artist journal, a project which I sent to Wetcanvas.com back in February. Click through the pages - there's 9 altogether including this one, and it ends on the fabulous 'Jumble of Doodles', which appeared on Elbowroom before.

‘Delve into my mind’ is the welcome on the first page of my current artist’s book – a message to myself, but also trying to coax in anyone else who I hand the book too. I'm an untrained artist, with a long-time love of doodling and cartooning. This has been evolving gradually into something more conscious. I can’t draw very well conventionally, but still can’t stop drawing. My usual tool tends to be a humble medium BIC biro.

This is really neat. I like the things you do with animals the most, I think, especially the birds. The abstract things interest me less. but maybe if I saw them up close my mind would change. I like the whimsy and wildness of the animals and creatures and bathtubs and the like more.

Keep on keepin' on!

Hello fern lady, look out for forthcoming Elbowroom 'trails' hopping through some choice items in the 530+ post doodle-mountain that is Elbowroom! I will include a 'nature' themed one - oh yes a Nature Trail!! Some of my best stuff is just hopelessly buried for all but the most diligent explorer of the blog.
